Nowadays, PCs are a great necessity in every residential or commercial unit. It helps people in processing their work. It is capable of computing huge numbers for your business and even process documents in the fastest time possible.

A desktop is a computer system that is composed of different parts. These parts are working together in order to help people do their work properly and in a very fast manner compared to the usual.

First of all, a desktop has a system tower. System tower is the box where the other computer parts are plugged in. Although most people may think that they come in large frames, there are now small form towers that will not take too much space inside people’s homes.

The next parts of a desktop system are the output devices. These are called output devices as they are the parts that will display the result of the things that you type on your computer. Examples of these output devices are the monitors and printers.

Third parts are the peripherals and the accessories. These are items that help you type or point your jobs or tasks in the computer properly like the light pens and the mouse. They help you navigate easily through your work and they are just plugged straight to the system tower via the various ports.

Fourth, it has the storage media that makes it possible for people to save their works and access it the next time they need it. There are a number of different storage media available for PCs. They have the hard drives that come in varying capacities to match the needs of every user. For the older computers, they have the floppy drives that have limited file size but these days, there are now portable hard drives, flash drives, and optical drives.

Power supply is needed for the computer to operate. AVRs and UPS are among the power supplies used for computers. People use UPS on their computers just to ensure that they will still operate even without electricity for several hours.

Overall, these are the things that make up a desktop system. You now know the parts and how they are called collective manner.

You can’t go into a home these days without viewing a desktop computer. PCs have become so usual that most families can’t function without at least one, and sometimes two or three.
